Planned ahead & arrived early. Enjoyed the carnival style food (fabulous corndog). I have rode both.
My Sky Lift experience was wonderful, as you ride up the mountain, you turn around and see these wonderful mountains. My general take away is that this place deserves a major facelift. Once you get close to the top, your picture is taken...Great souvenir! So we went to the very top for a couple hours. I've road other ones in Pigeon Forge that are a lot longer so you have more time to get distance between you and the person in front of you. If you choose to ride the Sky Lift, you’ll get to experience the all new SkyLift Park, including the SkyBridge! Must be at least 42″ or taller to ride, have good upper body control and be able to sit up straight; ... Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area and Amusement Park offers mountaintop fun for visitors of all ages. Wristbands (and most tickets) are only sold in person, on the day they are used. It was AWESOME. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF!!! We were very upset. The Aerial Tram at Ober Gatlinburg is accessible, and wheelchairs, ... Anakeesta is another popular sky lift, where their Gondola cabins are 32″ wide and 49″ deep for your ride to the summit and makes for an adequate fit for your wheelchair. The ride on the gondola up and down is beautiful, especially with all the fall colors, however once you arrive at the top there were three rides that we were able to take our small children on and the alpine slide (this was actually really cool)- you take a ski lift to get to the slide. Once on top some manican in a rocking chair takes your picture, you can't tell when its gonna take it so just smile until you pass it, at the top take alot of pictures and on the way down you notice you get alot higher than the space needle across the street. It’s what we expected.When we purchased tickets to take the aerial tram, we were unaware that there would not be anything open except the resturant.... but in all honesty, the ride up and back was DEFINITELY worth it!!
Over all enjoyed the trip, but please don't ride the brakes on a coaster it ruins it for others! We needed up buying another hour.
The coaster would of been cool, but the lady in front of us kept braking so we never really got to pick up speed. Single ticket prices are listed below wristband information. Both offer the option to buy pics of yourself on the lifts.
Arrived at Ober around 3pm. Purchased an ENO sling backpack which we didn't even knew they made. It was expensive but it carried all the nice brands we like. Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park & Ski Area: Do the Scenic Chairlift!!! I'm not sure about three riding together.
