Well I come back a day later and I can't open up the menu because I get this setting over and over again. Hello everyone, I want to format my old hard drive that has windows installed on it, and I want to install windows on my new m.2 ssd, and use my hard drive as storage for games, any ideas how to do that?
did u find a fix to this, i get the same error when i try open radeon, so i reinstall radeon and it works again, but then night light stops working, im still looking for a solution to thisI have the same problem too mine is also a integrated Vega 8 and a discrete Radeon 560 rx it shows something's like partially installed and if I click on the icon I get the same error.Tried everything like ddu and even installed a fresh version of windows but it didn't work. I updated my amd graphics driver through the amd settings on my computer. I'm assuming since now the Driver Version is the same from Radeon Settings and my Graphics Driver, that seemed to be what the problem was initially anyway. I went to Properties and copied the Driver Version from there into the Value box in the Registry Editor that he told us to leave blank. Do you know where AMD Vulkan drivers are stored? When I install the Vulkan SDK, it will use the latest Vulkan RT, but if I run Doom it will use the Vulkan RT which radeon software installs. Radeon Software and Driver Versions do not Match. this way is much better than your hack, because you don’t use the newest drivers.
If there’s a way not to format the hard drive but to just transfer the OS only to the ssd please let me know. But the driver from the manufacturer's site should work even though it's a pretty old version.That conflict comes from the Vega 8 GPU. I looked into it and found I had to go to device manager and go to display adapters and select a driver I want to install from a list. Hope this helps anyone else with this problem! Go to device manager, activate the grafic device, choose update driver, choose search on computer and than choose the newest version installed. Have you tried force installing Vega 8 drivers from the Windows Update Catalog? I can fix it by installed Radeon RX 580 Series Version: 27.20.1017.1011 (5/25/2020) but then I try to install latest drivers it goes back to not letting me open it. Click yes. Or use the shortcut key Windows Key + R command to start the run window; Then type in regedit in the run app and click on OK. Now the registry editor will ask for permission to open.
