If the brake feels "tight" and there's fluid leaking from the fluid reservoir cover, I'd say the reservoir has been overfilled. And remember what that sort of brakes used mineral oil. There was a definite mist around the levers dust was sticking to them but the brakes worked OK. After tying them to the bars with elastic bands overnight the levers were still firm.I bought them second hand so unfortunately warranty isn’t an option ðYou can buy the master cylinder and lever from CRC, just over 20 quid.It seems to be coming from under the big cap (the one that usually says slx/xt/zee or whatever) so you have this plastic cap, then the metal plate, then the sort of plastic/rubber insert before you actually get to the reservoir and fluid. Everything was fine until i noticed that the right lever (back brake) was leaking.I tried un-tightening the top cap, which really helped a lot but im not sure about the origin of the problem.I should note that when i took it to the LBS for bleeding, the pads were 80% worn.

Please keep in mind that service requirements differ slightly by manufacturer and check whether to use DOT or mineral oil.
Got to buy new lever or caliper I think.Should Zee not still be within warranty? Make sure the reservoir is turned horizontal when open so fluid can't spill out.
