Of course, those are Sony’s claims, but we’ll have to see both how the console and the PC market will handle this technology jump.As we’re getting closer to the release date, there will be more and more benchmark leaks and the latest one suggests that the RTX 3080 will be 20% and that RTX 3080 Ti will be 40% faster than RTX 2080 Ti which is certainly a big jump.Just as AMD is about to strike a blow to Nvidia’s supremacy in the GPU industry with its upcoming RDNA 2 architecture, the green team is hitting back at AMD with the new RTX 3000 series coming up soon.With the DisplayPort 2.0 standard getting its official and long-awaited release in 2019 and predictions that it will be available in late 2020, there are rumors that the RTX 3000 series will be offering DP 2.0 support.The widely-accepted speculation sets the price point of this design at $150 and that definitely adds fuel to the fire of rumors guessing the overall product price, as even steeper than the previous generation.This is especially interesting given the leaks coming from the red camp that suggest that their flagship RDNA 2 card will be 40-50% faster than RTX 2080 Ti.How this approach will influence the airflow remains to be seen, but we’re certain that Nvidia has already addressed this and knows what they are doing.
