Tundra & Banks are orphaned Alaskan brown bears. Animal Care Intern Zoe is completing her senior year at UMD and works in both our large Carnivore and the Ambassador Animal (Main) and Australian animal areas. We are strongly dedicated to our mission of facilitating understanding between people and the Earth and conserving the environment. Zoo Central will be used as an exit route, but you will still be able to see a few animals like Yoda the veiled chameleon, gila monsters, several amphibians, and the indoor black-crested mangabey habitat! The opportunities are endless: Visit animals, ride the zoo train, strike gold at our gemstone discovery, and even go behind-the-scenes! Adopting an animal will give you the satisfaction of knowing you are helping care for animals at the Lake Superior Zoo.
